Frequently Asked Questions

Find quick answers to some of the most common questions asked about Speechie in Spokane's speech therapy services.

Do you accept insurance?

Due to the state of Washington having such a wide variety of insurance policies, Speechie in Spokane is currently an out-of-network provider with all insurance companies. However, Speechie in Spokane can provide you with a standard form called a "superbill" for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. The superbill is like a detailed receipt and contains important information commonly requested by insurance companies, such as the date of service (DOS), place of service (POS), patient information, provider information, procedure code(s) or CPT code(s), all applicable diagnosis code(s), and associated fees.

Will my child be placed on a waitlist?

No. I realize that many of the clinics in town have waitlists.. some of them are even over a year long. For this reason, I make it a priority to offer my services to those families seeking immediate support. Even if you are only interested in having a speech screening or evaluation completed, or maybe you just have questions you would like answered, please reach out. I would be happy to discuss your concerns and create an individualized assessment and/or treatment plan with you.

What is your pricing?

Based on information available, Speechie in Spokane offers quite possibly some of the lowest rates in Spokane and surrounding areas for out-of-pocket pediatric speech therapy. I do my very best to make sure my services are accessible and affordable, as I want to be able to support as many children and their families in the community as possible.

I'm not sure if my child needs speech therapy, but I have concerns. Can you help?

Absolutely! I would be more than happy to discuss your concerns with you and answer any questions you may have. Speechie in Spokane also offers FREE speech screenings! The screenings are brief and allow me to obtain just enough information to determine if a more comprehensive, in-depth evaluation is needed.

I can't afford private pay speech therapy for my child. Can you still help?

Yes! Let's schedule a 20-30 minute phone consultation to discuss your concerns. I would also be happy to conduct a FREE speech screening and provide you with resources, home activity ideas, and strategies for you to use at home with your child to support their speech development in the meantime.
